While a student at Gearge Washington University L.Ron Hubbard discovered that despite numurous theories and guesses, no one really knew how or why people behave as they do. He then embarked on an exhaustive trail of research to develop the first truely workable and effective technology of the human mind, with the precise invariability of a physical science

By 1948, Ron had written a manuscipt, later published as The Dynamics of Life, in which he summarized his research and delineated the principles he had discovered. Passed from hand to hand in professional circles it created tremendous enthusium and a huge public demand for a comprehensive popular book on the subject.

Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health was published on May 9, 1950 and response was immediate and overwhelming.
