New Slant On Life

A broad, fresh view of life in all its aspects

A New Slant on Life is a collection of thirty of L. Ron Hubbard's best-loved articles and essays. Some originally appeared as magazine articles, while others are from his lectures and early radio programs; every one is a gem of wisdom and practical truth.
The book's unique flavor was best stated by L. Ron Hubbard, in his introduction to the first edition:

"Who are you anyway? Where do you come from? What will happen to you? Are you a product of the mud as you have been told, to exist for a few years and then wither away and fertilize the earth from which they said you came?

"Scientology has answers to those questions, good answers that are true, answers that work for you. For the subject matter of Scientology® is you." – L. Ron Hubbard

History of the Book:

The first notes for the assembly of A New Slant on Life date from 1960, when Mr. Hubbard called for his various essays of philosophical interest to be collected and published in book form.

In 1965, the first edition of the book was published. An immediate success, it was eagerly read and enjoyed by Scientologists, who found its articles both inspiring and useful.

In 1988, an updated edition of A New Slant on Life was released, expanded with even more of Mr. Hubbard's priceless writings. It included a complete glossary, making it easier to study and use.
